The site of Herculaneum was the first to be found: without its discovery we probably would not have Pompeii either. Buried and forgotten under meters and meters of lava, only a small part of the city has come back to light, returning statues, frescoes, gold and even papyri and furniture.
The grand ruins of this ancient city continue to surprise and fascinate, making us really feel part of history and tragedy.
